Bio
Lisa MacColl is terminally curious -- some would say nosy -- and has written about politics, the arts, working through job loss, crime, integrating babies and pets, and blowing bubbles with her daughter for such diverse publications as Canadian Living, Readers’ Digest, Cat Fancy, Today’s Bride and the Waterloo Chronicle. She is the co-author of a chapter handbook for the Professional Writers’ Association of Canada, has written chapters for the American Red Cross Emergency Responder Manual, and “translated” by-laws into plain language. Whether writing personal essays, informative articles, op/ed pieces or corporate communications, Lisa loves to learn new things while exceeding her clients’ expectations. Lisa deals with food allergies on a daily basis since she has a life-threatening garlic allergy (which causes her to avoid her favorite Greek and Indian restaurants and vampires) and her in-laws are severe celiac (which inspired her to bake cheesecake with ground-up rice krispies for the crust).
